My foot drop is on the left foot too.I'm using the AFO as well and I know how it feels.I have to get nerve conduction studies done to see where the damage is and how bad it is.I had excepted after the accident that the movement mightened ever return but now that I'm back on my feet I really hope it does .I walk with a limp and I cant run .Its very awkward.I'll just have to wait and see.They say that nerves can repair themselves but that it happens very slowly.
