Ok a seemingly normal day yadiyadi ya, and stupid me thinks it wold be fun to olly (skateboard) off a slide. Well I get to the top (bout' 10 ft. up) And go for the jump. Well as I am flying through the air I notice the board is caught at a weird angle. So I try to adjust then :CRASH: I hear a pop, snap, and crack. I look down and dont see anything wrong, ( I had a shoe on) I get up and notice I am having troubles walking and my shoe feels tighter by the second. I skateboard back home and ask my mom to look at my ankle. Well she takes the shoe off (painfully) and her eyes widen and i look down.... MY FOOT IS HUGE, PALE, AND BLUE. I saw my ankle (the scariest part) Humongoues, Red, Blue, Black, Purple, White, and then a wittle piece is bulgy. I think of course. A break. Well my mom says i should kick up my leg while she call my dad and an ambulance. They stretcher me and I get Morphine, a huge brace from my toes to my hip. Then they are checking out my wrists which they brace one because they said it is sprained and shouldnt be to pressurized. Well on my way they are looking at my ankle in amazment and wondering why I am not crying. Being only a teen this was much pain for me. At the ER I am x-rayed which shows dislocation and a fracture through the ankle area, then some broken bones in my foot. Surgery may be needed. WHAT?? I SCREAM. NO SURGERY PLEASE. Well they take to me to the specialist who gives me more x-rays, some MRI's, and an IV. I am going into surgery. Oh great, my choices were plate, rods, pins, or this other thing. Well I decided plate. After a few hours of surgery I wake up dizzy and un-aware. Then I notice a rap around my ankle; and remeber oh yah i just had surgery. The doctor comes in saying after about a day I can put minimal pressure on it ( standing for about 5 min is the most I can per 30 hour) No running, swimming, biking, skateboarding or any of that. I have a hard rap (zig zag cast) whatever and I get it removed in 2 weeks, then possibly and aero cast, boot, or crutches. I think I want the boot. Right now I have a walking support fitted in a special shoe. I cant proparly bend my foot up or down, and turning hurts like heck. School is OK because I dont stand much. I am also starting physical therapy when I get my boot or aero cast. I have a check up in 5 days to make sure my bones stay align. Or rods might be added. Grr. This is painful and I have another morpine in 6 weeks because the aero boot is a 4 weeker.
