Eric_L : Spiral tib/fib fracture after thrown from PWC
Diary entry posted Thu 7:51pm 14 March 2019

Yesterday I had a fresh set of X-rays taken by the OS, and my tibia has healed significantly! Probably close to 85% healed with even the big gaps largely filled in. OS told me its my decision if I need to see him again or not; so I am proud to report that I am done. Today I had my last PT session, my balance and strength are close to normal, and ROM is normal except for ankle extension, still about 10 degs short of full extension. I can balance on my once broken leg for over 30 seconds and walk 3+ miles in an hour with only a slight limp near the end. This is my last post, its been a 6 month ordeal, and I am thankful for the excellent medical care I have received, though the medical bills are breath taking even with supposed great insurance with a Fortune 100 company. Take care and keep up hope, you will recover to a new normal, and then slowly proceed towards pain free status as you once were. The differences in the xrays from the ER to this week are incredible, the human body is a miraculous system, its been the humbling journey of a lifetime. Take care, Eric
