Ernest_F : Part 8: cam walker
Diary entry posted Fri 2:58am 2 May 2014

23 of april finally the short plaster came off!
it was the day i was waiting for the last 4 months, but i was also very scared.
infact i was worried because the foot still felt un-healed. i triyed once more to bear some weight, put the cast shoe on and moved some steps but the ankle was painfull. so i went to the doc's office with low expectations.

they cut my plaster and my concerns were confirmed by the fact the ankle still was very swollen. they cleaned my leg and gently moved the foot only to see it was painfull: "perfectly normal" doc said.

i was immediately put in a new cam walker (apparently mine with the articulated ankle joint isn't good).
i was instructed to go on with wb on the boot and also start to slowly move the foot.
monday 1st day of pt, hopefully i'll start to see some improvements.
