Flanagan : One more thing>> My goal for the week ahead

I've been concerned about the fact that so far I've been unable to raise up onto the ball of my left foot, bearing all the weight onto it. I can raise myself up onto BOTH feet, but not onto the left one only.
My PT says that I must build up my calf muscle in order to put weight onto the foot. This makes sense. I have lost noticeable calf muscle in the past 8 weeks.
At PT I am doing seated calf raises while 15 lbs of weights are on my thigh.I'm doing 2 sets of 10. I did the same exercise at home last night.
Several times a day,I rise up on both feet while standing, as I try to shift some of my weight onto the ball of my left foot. I practice doing a repetitive sequence of ballet steps over and over, which alternates the body weight from foot to foot in 3 steps called a "balance". It's a French word which is pronounced> balan-SAY) It's good to do this in time to music.It's a 1-2-3, 1-2-3 beat.
By the end of this week,I expect to have made some good progress getting up onto the ball of my foot and holding it if if it's only for second or two. I'm not looking for miracles in a weeks time, but I AM expecting progress.
