Hi all - just thought I'd post a quick message to reassure those who maybe at the beginning of a broken leg story that I have made a full recovery and 100% back to normal!
I had a bad spiral fracture to right fib and a small fracture at rear of tib ...5 weeks hard cast NWB following one week in a splint cast....as I broke my ankle on a Wednesday I had to wait til the following Tuesday to attend fracture clinic by which by I felt that the healing process had started so refused surgery ...
Had physio after and limped for a good few months but I walked loads and loads through pain sometimes but always elevated the leg afterwards to rest..
I drank a lot of milk, and lived off of massive amounts of spinach and green veg with brown rice and mackerel in olive oil...plus I took cissus quadrangularis supplements - felt great apart from the broken bone!
I was lucky to have very little pain but thought that anyone with a similar break might find this post helpful....good !uck all !!

Michelle
