Sorry to hear you've broken your femur, a horrible injury I know all about. I broke my femur over 4 years ago, details are in my diary entries. I don't know the extent of your injuries, but when I started PT, it took up a lot of my time trying to regain lost muscle growth. The boredom aspect will disappear when you realise just how much effort you need to put in with your PT. It took 5 months before I could walk, and a year to walk without a limp and not be in pain. A mistake I made was wishing time away, when actually, the 5 months I had recovering at my parents was precious time with them that I only now appreciate. Use this time out to work hard on your PT, but also read books, call up people you haven't spoken to in ages etc. I walked miles and miles on my crutches every day as well as 2hr sessions x 3 times a day to try and get back to walking. You'll soon start on your PT recovery, so enjoy the down time before the hard work starts and above all else, know that you will be fine. I wish I hadn't worried so much about whether I would walk again. You will and everything will be normal.
