Hi...new to this site. Am 35 days out from surgery and having a rough time. I can shower alone, dress myself, move about house with walker and sit as long as foot it up. I was doing a lot more, last Saturday I cleaned the bathroom, washed the kitchen floor, changed the sheets and then vacuumed by sliding around on my butt and pulling the vacuum behind me. My husband works very hard physically and I feel like I have to do my part. I'm 56. It was too much. I was crying every night and my leg was really sore and ached when I got in bed...at 7:30! So now I get up, do my exercises, wash the dishes from the night before, shower, get dressed and then pretty much rest/do artwork the rest of the day. I was having home visits from OT, PT and Nurse but this week I finished with all of them and next week I start PT our of home. I also see surgeon for first time since discharge from hospital. Every other evening I cry...well sob for about an hour. I continue doing whatever it is I'm doing and just sob. I really don't enjoy that. My leg is more sore and painful now than it was a week ago. Have been taking pain med at night again. I feel very badly for my husband and my dog. It's nice to read all the posts from people who are done and can't believe it. Thanks for reading...
