Elaine, you can cry and complain as much as you need to! You are doing really good for as close after your surgery that you are. Although I do think you pushed it a little far with the vacuuming! Healing from a broken leg and surgery takes a lot of time and energy. And it's very boring and frustrating.
I am now one year out from my fall at the end of Feb, and tomorrow is my one year anniversary date of my surgery. I remember waiting in pre-op and telling myself, a year from now I am going to a St. Patrick's Day happy hour - and I will be! I've been having a lot of "one year ago today I was... getting an MRI, getting a surgery consult, whatever" and when I look back I am amazed at how far I've come. The only trouble I have now is a little bit going up and down stairs.
I do remember getting depressed after I was done with formal PT and back to a normal schedule, because I thought my leg would have felt better than it did. So try not to set your expectations too high and be gentle with yourself!
