I broke my left leg, so driving wasn't a problem once I was off of the pain meds. I also had stairs to deal with, but was staying with my mom and she "spotted" me each time, coming and going. The rehab clinic I went to was small, so even the non-disabled parking wasn't too far. My advice is to give yourself plenty of time, so you don't feel rushed. At my PT you could rest afterwards for as long as you needed with an ice pack. I think it's a good idea to have someone go with you the first time or two, but I bet you will get comfortable with it. I am glad you slowed down a bit at home!
