 Unable to lift big toe
Caryn    7:19am Apr 20 2017

I have not been able to lift my big toe since right after breaking my tibia and fibula. They did surgery placing a nail and 2 screws in my leg. I also can not feel my toe at all. The numbness continues down from the toe but does not feel dead like the toe does. At my 2 week check up the ortho was saying it will probably start to come back. But at the 4 week check up he said that he hasn't seen anything like it and would probably refer me to a foot specialist. He is concerned that I am at greater risk for falling as I will stumble over the dropped toe. He mentioned tendon release surgery which seems extreme as it is another 8 or so weeks or NWB. I am patient with the leg healing but this part is scaring me. My ankle and top of foot feels like a very tight band is on it and that is also slightly on fire. Not sure if that relates to the toe issue.
I am also suppose to go to Italy with my family 6 weeks. Does this seem doable?

Thanks for any responses!
