Hi. I have been NWB for 12 weeks. For the most part I have used a walker. I use crutches when going out but never at home. It's impossible to carry anything, much easier to have bag on walker to put things in or tray on top of it. Very easy to slip with crutches if there is any liquid on surface your'e walking on. Also, much harder to do simple things like brush your teeth or open the refrigerator door. Items can be carried in a knapsack but challenging to get items out when on the crutches. Crutches very helpful on stairs and covering long distances. Walker doesn't do stairs. Both devices very hard on palms and elbows. Crutches are a pain but so is breaking your leg! Am very glad to have my crutches and walker as I'd be really stuck without them! Hope this helps. Good luck with your project.
