Hi, I have been NWB for the past 8 weeks. For the first six weeks, I was using a walker. It does have its limitation like you cant use the stairs so I stayed in my room most of the times on first floor. After my surgery, I had a discussion with OS about using crutches or walker. He said It was totally upto me but he'd prefer if I use walker as it is more safe specially for the first 2-3 weeks post OP. he said I could use crutches if I want after 3 weeks. I never used crutches even after 3 weeks as they hurt and you can lose control.
Recently doctor put me in Patella Tendon Brace which is really helpful in walking.
