Are you experiencing reduced dorsiflexion (Being able to flex the foot/ankle back, toes towards your knee) ? That's what's needed to be able to walk down stairs or other inclines properly. Your PT should be giving you specific exercises to help with this. The location of my break causes a lot of tension in that area, so 2 years later I still don't have that full range of motion, and it gets worse quickly if I don't still exercise it regularly.

Dec 5 surgery. Jan 19 DVT
Feb 9 Cast off, WBAT, PT
Feb 18 Walker to Crutches. Mar 4 Stairs. Mar 10 Crutches to cane
Apr 15 No more cane
Dec 2016 Still dealing with PTSD and anxiety, therapy ongoing.
