This is completely normal after such surgery. When you lower you leg blood goes down and has difficulty going up again because of your injury and non weight bearing. You are going to feel pain, discomfort and swelling for some time. The best thing you can do is keep it elevated for most of the time. It will get better eventually when you start moving around more and rehab. Just be patient.
