Hi Alexandria, sympathies. I think metatarsal fractures are usually just given support.

Yes, the situational depression is normal. Try Googling for "five stages of injury grief". You're likely to cycle through those more than once. It DOES get better. Get out into fresh air/green spaces when you can. Take plenty of vitamin D as well.

Regarding your husband, he's probably finding it difficult that there's nothing he can do to solve the problem. Try explaining that he CAN help simply by being there, giving you a hug when you're feeling down.

ORIF plate 18 June. Cast problems (allodynia) so boot from 25th but NWB.
25 July start PWB in boot, 7 Aug PWB without boot. 14th Aug few steps FWB.
9 Sept 10-steps jog 25 Sept: PT says go run!
