You are definitely allowed. A number of us on this board (including your truly) have had them. You are definitely doing the right thing by seeing a surgeon. Find out if he does lots of foot injuries and if not go to one who has more experience with the foot. There are a lot of variables that I don't understand about this break, but I do know that it can be slow to heal and if not treated properly cause lots of discomfort in the future. I love my Jimmy Choos and they are not easy on the foot so I don't want any pain when I slip back into them. My BF's attitude toward my problem changed when he saw the cast on my leg; the damsel in distress reaction was triggered by it and he has been most sympathetic ever since.
