Stiff knee after long leg cast
Peeta 7912    7:51pm Jul 28 2017

Hello All:

This site is truly a life saver. It is quite assuring knowing that there are someone else out here that can relate to what i'm going through. Last May 28, i accidentally slipped and fell. There was an engine oil on the floor (parking area) which i didnt notice. I stepped on it and i slipped and fell. I broke my left ankle and my leg. Thereafter, I was put on a long leg cast. Yesterday, the OS took off the long leg cast and replaced with a shorter one. I must say, my leg looked awful. Anyway, im a day older on my short leg cast and im unable to fold or bend my knee. It just hurts so badly. I feel like my knee is gonna break and bones on my thigh too. I'd like to ask how long will it take to finally bend/fold the knee. Im advised to take PT 3x a week starting next week. Please give tips on exercises.
Also, my skin near the knee area darkened and I think this is dead skin. It's getting itchy and painful. Id like to ask for tips to take care of this.
Thank you all.
