It was a good weekend. I finally 'fit' into my running shoes (still wearing a compression sock to keep swelling down around my ankle). I went riding today and was happy I was able to get on while flexing my ankle to put it in the stirrup. Of course my leg was useless as it's lost so much muscle but I walked for a good 15 minutes and even had a little trot. I think this will be good therapy for my ankle, a way to get more flexibility.
Speak of flexibility. For others who are recovering (or did recover) from a fibula fracture, can you kneel? I cannot, it's driving me crazy but I just can't get my foot flat enough to sit my bum on my heel. What can I do too improve this?
Also, I tried a couple steps run today, still my foot and ankle are too week, but I'll continue to strengthen them with all the exercises I got last week. I'm not a runner, persay, but I just want the freedom of being able too. Plus it would be nice not to have to wait at a green light when there's only 10 secs to walk, soooo frustrating.
That's it for now. Hope you're all recovering well. Peace to you all.
