Great to hear from someone else in a similar place in their journey :)
I got my iWalk 2.0 on kijiji (for $120 Canadian). I got the very lightly used unit + an extra pad for it that the original owner paid just over $200 for. I picked it up, so no shipping. It is worth every penny to me as I love the freedom it has given me (mine is an out of pocket expense also, as it wasn't ordered by the doctor). I've used it to go shopping (very relaxing when you have a cart to push also), take walks in the park and also to go with my daughter (she just turned 13) to visit a performing arts high school where she will be auditioning soon. And yesterday I finally tackled my fear of using it on the stairs so no more butt scooting for me for now! This thing has given me back my mobility. Except for the inability to drive, I feel like I can do almost anything (within reason, of course ;) ).
