Thanks for posting!
A split up the front cast sounds really awful. That would be a lot like that slab cast I had at first. I had to go to a high school open house with my daughter the day before I had my first fracture clinic appointment. I needed to be able to get around on multiple levels, so I took my walker. Since I am NWB I used it like a knee scooter. I could move pretty fast on that thing (lol) but the padding is minimal, so my shin got rather bruised. After using that thing to get around the house the padding on my iWalk 2.0 seemed very cushy by comparison.
I too have issues with the pressure the boot is putting on my ankle at times. Suddenly it will be painful for no reason at all. Really glad I can take it off while I am resting as that immediately takes care of the pain for me (that and a little ice is all I've needed for a while now).
Sep 23 - fell while hiking in the backcountry with friends (hiked out 4km)
Sep 24 - told ankle is \"cracked\" and placed in backslab
Sep 29 - official diagnosis Weber A; NWB 5 more weeks in boot
