 Re: Walking Boot on Ice???

Thanks for replying,
I do not plan on doing anything to re-injure myself! I just don't know what to expect when it comes to anything with this injury and that's what kills me! I hate not knowing what is going to happening and having control of my life. The few months it took for a reply on if I got into my college choice killed me! Glad to hear you only took 10-14 days to go FWB in the boot. I was kind of expecting weeks to get to that point but maybe it won't be that hard! I feel like I can put weight on it fairly well, even though I can't really try for another week and a half! My problem was my ankle was dislocated and had to be fixed with screws in addition to my fibula.

I looked into ice grippers but they don't make it large enough for my walking boot. I ordered a cover with some thick fur-like material thats made for my boot to at least keep my toes warm. I think once I am able to put at least a majority of my weight on it, I will get a cane for walking on what could be icy surfaces. I get the OK to start walking on Nov. 13th and I am really hoping snow and ice can hold off until at least December!
