I took 2 days to get to full weight bearing in the boot... I surprised myself by how speedy it was. My instructions were to WBAT and my ankle just kept right on tolerating so I kept right on giving it more weight ;)
I don't know how long it will take to transition out of the boot once I am allowed to begin. I definitely want to complete it before things get icy here.
Get a set of ice grips if you don't have them already as you can put one on the good foot (and the bad foot once it is in a regular boot) and I also recommend hiking poles instead of a cane for ice (as they come with a pointy end you can use to dig into any ice).
Sep 23 - fell while hiking in the backcountry with friends (hiked out 4km)
Sep 24 - told ankle is \"cracked\" and placed in backslab
Sep 29 - official diagnosis Weber A; NWB 5 more weeks in boot
