That's great news about the walking. Do work at the PT - you need to get ankle range of motion back or you will risk having more problems down the line.
Remember to keep your leg raised to help with the swelling, whenever you are sitting down.
Regarding speed, after 6 weeks post-op in the cast (2 weeks) and boot and told to be NWB, once allowed to start PWB I took a couple of weeks to go from PWB to FWB in the boot then about 8 days to go FWB without the boot.
As for the incision - keep an eye on it like the OS said. I suspect it will have settled down quite a bit by tomorrow. If you get pus coming out, or angry-looking red lines radiating out, that's when you need to get worried. Localised swelling could also indicate infection.

ORIF plate 18 June. Cast problems (allodynia) so boot from 25th but NWB.
25 July start PWB in boot, 7 Aug PWB without boot. 14th Aug few steps FWB.
9 Sept 10-steps jog 25 Sept: PT says go run!
