 Re: Quick question

I was told that there might be some swelling even up to a year! I think it's very individual, because I could put on a regular shoe about 4 weeks post surgery. When I started PWB and FWB it was getting better and better because of increased blood flow. At 5-6 months swelling was almost completly gone but my ankle used to swell up after a lot of walking or excercising. Now I am 11 months post surgry and sometimes there is some swelling around bottom screws close to my ankle. I am getting the hardware out in 2,5 weeks so I am hoping this will go away too after recovery.

Riding a stationary bike helped me a lot with swelling, it's easy for the leg but keeps your blood flowing. Icing in the evening is very good and keeping it elevated every time you sit down.

Good luck and take care!
