Re: Knee problems caused by previous ankle stuff?
SMM    4:49pm Dec 5 2017

Hi Signe,

Was just dropping by...and so good to see you are back to a full, active routine. Great isn't it? But I am sorry to hear about the ongoing pain issues. And yes, a broken or injured ankle can really cause stress for knees. My first reaction (after you said that the pain stops with rest from exercise) was walking gait. Ankle injury and subsequent issues around mobility or ankle range of motion can impact walking and exercising which in turn stresses or can stress the knees. Have you had gait tested? And soft tissue damage at or around the ankle can change the mechanics of the leg, which certainly can, again, be problematic for the knee.

Best wishes,
Matt
