Alyson, I had zero bone growth at the six month mark after a spiral fracture. Doctor said if he doesn’t see healing after three month mark, he will have to rip the rod out and start over. He even e-mailed my surgeon in Jerusalem Israel to find the brand of rod bc every rod is different and needs different tools to pull them out. So I was thinking “this is serious!” Well, it turns out that weight bearing stimulates bone growth. Once I started walking, my bones started to heal. By 3 months, I had significant healing. It is not uncommon at all to see no bone growth this early! Just do your physical therapy as advised by your doctor! You will get through this! Faith can move mountains!
