It has been 10 months since I broke my tib/fib. Recovery isn't as fast as I would like. I still only walk when needed not for fun which is something I miss. I had 7 months of PT and since then have been working with a personal trainer to help get my body strong again. My big concern now is my limp as well as my balance. If I really focus I can walk with out the limp but as soon as I forget it kicks back in. And my balance is bad. I can easily be knocked over if I step wrong or someone bumps into me. I don't look like me anymore because of this. Any wonderful suggestions for getting my balance back other than strengthening it? Has anyone tried any alternative therapies that have worked?
March 15 Fell and broke Tibia and Fibula 3 breaks
March 16 Surgery- 1 nail and 2 screws, casted
March 21 Back to ER cast too tight, replaced
March 29 2 week check. Booted NWB still using walker
April12th 4 week check. Still NWB walker
week 13 boot
