Melissa, I wouldn't expect to see callus yet. Good alignment at this stage is good news, and it's great that you are getting physio. Yes, 10 weeks seems like forever but it WILL pass.
Increased risk of blood clots is standard when you have any limb immobilised - but it really is not that high. Are you on the injections to reduce the risk?
Depression sadly is usual and crying is normal. I cried a lot at that stage as well. I was depressed, angry, fatalistic (usually only briefly, alas) then back to depressed).
I understand about how much work it must be to leave the house - and the staring can make things even harder, psychologically. Do you have a few good friends you can encourage to visit?

ORIF plate 18 June. Cast problems (allodynia) so boot from 25th but NWB.
25 July start PWB in boot, 7 Aug PWB without boot. 14th Aug few steps FWB.
9 Sept 10-steps jog 25 Sept: PT says go run!
