My ortho doctor didn't refer me to physio so dcb_Debra gave me a link to some online exercises I could do and that really helped which I've been doing since 8th January.
I didn't think I was going to get any professional physio but thankfully soon after I was referred to a physiotherapist in the NHS. Its not as often as I would like but its better than nothing and I do the exercises everyday at home. I don't look forward to it but I force myself.
I still have some numbness in my toes and on the top of my foot but I hope this will go? If its not gone by the 6 month mark I'll go back to the doctor I think.
Dorsiflexion is slightly painful. Its like a sharp, pinching pain when I do those exercises but the physio said to keep doing them?
I walked slowly on the running machine for the first time yesterday and was on the exercise bike so in the main things are going in the right direction. I still have a limp but its getting better slowly. Sometimes I used to think well thats it I'm never going to be back as I used to be but I feel alot more positive now.
