Hello! We want our bodies to heal faster than they can. You had a traumatic injury and invasive surgery. Itís not going to be good just because youíre done with PT. I had very significant swelling and pain up until about 2 years post breaks. Eight years later, not to get you down, I still get swelling and pain. I have to elevate my ankle every chance I get. I also get this weird shocking sensation from my heel. I donít even know what that is!
Continue with your daily life, but just be mindful of your leg. Tape is a good idea, maybe a brace? Ease back into your routine. And remember that you can still ďover-doĒ it any given day.
