Re: Operation yesterday: life is full of surprises.
David A Evans    7:20am Mar 20 2018

Iíve just seen my family doctor as we collected the pain meds from the pharmacy thatís at the family doctors at home: heís been great, referred me for a scan initially and then chased this up after Iíd seen him for pain relief after Iíd slipped walking and hassled the hospital for an appointment for me. You usually have to wait months for one on the NHS but I got seen quickly - brilliant of him.
People complain a lot about the NHS but on this occasion he and the hospital have been absolutely brilliant.

Surgery 19.3.18 to repair Achillesí tendon and reattach gastrocnemius muscle to femur, then 3 months in plaster
