I was casted both legs knee down. I’m sure above the knee is a whole other ballgame.

I think one of the hardest parts of having BLs is the loss of independence and depression that comes with it. I bought an inflatable sink and my friends washed my hair. Boy is that so much better than dry shampoo!! I felt my best when trying to do “normal” things. I went and bought some new makeup at the mall, got a new shirt, etc.

It’s not easy, but we’ve been through it too. You will make it to the other side. Happy healing!

-9 26, 09 car crash 5 FX metatarsals, FX talus, toe severed, FX thumb= 7 surgeries
L foot: NWB 5 weeks, R foot: NWB 13 weeks, R hand: cast 5 weeks
-HWR in R foot
-Still dealing with daily pain in R foot
-2016- Rx Orthotics
