Yes, it's normal, and common, for pain to crop up months, or even years after you're "healed". Actually, at 7 months, your bone(s) are only about half way back to normal shape and density. Soft tissues can take even longer than bone to completely heal, mostly because stressing the bones makes them stronger, while stressing damaged soft tissues impedes their healing.
Please do keep working on your PT exercises! Also do your best to NOT limp. Walk slower, and take shorter strides. Be mindful of using your foot and leg correctly.
