Glad to hear you are out of a long cast. That must be a relief.
The nice thing about a boot is you can take it off to shower. Just get in first, get yourself seated, then remove it. (Enjoy scrubbing off all the dead skin that accumulated.). Then dry your leg and put the boot back on before getting out.
As for sleeping, prop your leg with pillows. One suggestion I see another member giving that seems like a good idea is using a bean bag or a partly deflated exercise ball instead.
