Yes, it does get easier. Youíll figure out how to do things. But it is s tough situation and the emotional rollercoaster is normal.
Plaster casts are heavier than fibreglass, so once you get a proper cast it is a bit lighter. You probably wonít be walking on it for 6 weeks at least. (Sorry if that stresses you out. I know when I realized the length of my recovery I cried.). The best thing I got to help me out was a knee walker. Itís basically a scooter that you kneel on with you injured leg and push with you other leg. I could get around the mall faster than anyone else on mine.
