Two out of 3 casts must make moving about a bit easier. What have you been doing to entertain yourself?
Just as an aside. I know the loss of independence is difficult. My father is recovering from a heart attack. This afternoon was determined to go out and do some work in the garden. When I wouldnít let him go out on his own he got really annoyed with me. I gave him about 10min and when I went to to check up on him he was hanging on to the fence huffing and puffing. He came back in begrudgingly, but he recovered ok. I guess the take away is when you do start to gain back independence, take your time and gain back your strength. I know I was itching to be able to drive again once I got my cast off. I gave my self several weeks to regain ankle mobility and made sure I pain free, but I still had to prove to my family I was ready by taking them on test drives! (And Iím in my 40ís!)
