My cousinís teenaged son went through a similar situation a few years ago, but not quite as serious as yours. He was hit by a car as a pedestrian. He had hardware implanted in one hip and the opposite knee as well. He wasnít in a monstrous cast, but he did have a hospital bed set up at home in the living room and a special transfer apparatus. He lost all privacy too. He took it well. As I told him, the same goes for you - at least there is one blessing that you are male and donít have to deal with a female monthly cycle during recovery.
