I had about the same operation in Dec 2017 and it takes time. My surgeon kept me off weight bearing for several weeks. But you can read some histories here when people go to weight bearing right away.
Your case seems to me to be pretty normal as it takes some time after such trauma to return to any sense of normal.
I would say be patient and each day and week will get better. Just hope it heals normally. I am in my 10th month and not healed.
Also be very careful, as you are suspectful to falls. I fell Labor Day and fractured a vertebra!
