yeah absolutely not something I'd recommend.. It's a pretty wild experience. In some ways I appreciate what I've learned from it, but still... would not sign up for this again. I'm only on week 12 though, and reading your experience has made me grateful to have visible healing.. I think I'd go crazy if I was still showing no signs, so hats off to you for making it through!
I hope your mince pies are a hit and that they're not overly preoccupied with your leg!
Your village and neighbors sound really lovely- I agree, it's so important to be reminded that while this injury is major and life altering, at least we are lucky enough to be working back towards full mobility.. I have an uncle who lost his leg at 17 after botched knee surgery that resulted in gangrene.. I am so much more aware of how difficult that experience must have been and must still be. It's been really helpful to talk with him.
I am lucky enough that my job is possible to do from home, so after about a month of sick leave I felt well enough to start working, so I have some direction to my days which is great. Otherwise my best friend netflix has been super helpful, and just scrolling around the internet! also reading and practicing bass guitar lately. How about you?
hope you had a good day today and that you get good sleep tonight!
