So sorry to hear you were hit by a car! I can understand your worry about using crutches on snow and ice. After I healed from my broken ankle I invested in a pair of boots with cleats that flip out of the bottom to be safer in winter. (Although slippery surfaces did not contribute to my accident... just my own clumsiness)
Iím fairly sure Iíve seen cleats that clamp on to the bottom of canes. You might be able to find something on amazon that would work on your crutches.
Iím also hopping on your post to give Nicola a suggestion.
I wrapped my crutches with pretty patterned duct tape! I made it a social event and had a friend come over and give me a hand.
Those are my suggestions to make crutches safer on ice and cute!
All the best in your healing.
