 timeline moving too fast?
MiP    6:23am Mar 25 2019

Hey everyone

I've done some research through these forums, medical articles, etc. and it seems like the timeline prescribed for me is a bit quick... although I also don't really want to be one to question my doctor on her advice.

It seems on average, a functional brace would be swapped in after 4-5 weeks. I read some journals where early weight-bearing is encouraged in order to minimise angulation. I'd rather just stay put and not mess around with it for now.

What you reckon?

2019 Feb 28 - mid-shaft tibia spiral fracture, snowboarding accident
2019 Mar 04 - no surgery, full leg cast, NWB
2019 Mar 22 - slow growth, minimal shifting, cast removed for below-knee functional brace, PWB (minimal)
