Hi Jacso. Thanks for your response. Your advice on accepting that things are going to be a little different for awhile makes a lot of sense. Currently I am in the temporary splint they put on me in the ER as my injury is pretty fresh (May 7th). Its like a back-slab type cast that goes around the back and sides of my leg but is open in the front, then wrapped up with ace bandages. The splint goes all the way up my leg to just a few inches below my crotch. I go back to see the ortho doctor this coming Friday to see what the next step is cast or surgery. I'd really prefer to avoid the surgery if possible but I just don't know about being stuck in a cast this long for an extended period of time. I guess we'll see what they say come Friday?
In reading your reply, it looks like you've been coping with your injury for some time now and hopefully on the mend. Is everything progressing well in your recovery? Have you had any set backs post surgery? Have you begun weight bearing yet?
