Yeah, it's SLOWLY feeling a tad better each day. I have definitely been trying to take it as easy as possible since, like you said, doing too much of anything results in swelling and the pain that follows. I've basically been parked on the couch every day since my injury and although I'm already getting tired of it, this is where my leg hurts the least so here I will stay! For now anyways! Other than crutching to and from the bedroom to sleep at night, and the bathroom. Speaking of the bathroom, without going into too much detail, trips there are the devil's own work! Not that it's far or up or down stairs or anything, but just accomplishing what needs done in there is somewhat difficult in my current situation. I'm a little embarrassed to go into this but, it's hard to stand on the crutches to do a #1 due to the awkwardness of the whole full leg cast/ crutches scenario, and sitting on the seat is no picnic either as the cast comes up so high that the top of it "interferes" with my ability to actually "sit" comfortably on the seat for a #2! Quite the predicament right?? I've had to come up with some revolutionary ideas so far to accomplish my goal so to speak LoL. Like I said...quite the predicament! Oh well, we'll figure it out.
As for a wheelchair, my girlfriend has brought up the idea and thought that going out might be beneficial for my overall morale, but I just don't feel quite ready to be paraded around the rest of society yet. Maybe soon? But once I do decide I'm ready, I will certainly be acquiring a wheelchair to help with that initially. Thanks again for the correspondence! Talk to you later!
