That's my hope as well, to get into a short cast when I finally go back to the ortho 3 and a half weeks or so from now. It would be heaven to be able to bend my knee again just once!
You're right, they did put what I think looks like about 15 degrees or so of bend in my knee when they casted me. Its not a lot, but between that and moving my foot closer to 90 degrees, it has certainly made it a little easier to maneuver with the crutches. I know it's likely different for everybody, but just how long should it take for my leg and ankle to stop getting swollen and painful when crutching around?? Or maybe that's sort of impossible to answer??
As far as the signatures go, I'm looking forward to seeing how many I can acquire by the time I go for another cast change. It's truly one of the only things I enjoy about this whole broken leg thing. It's fun and I love reading over them later periodically. Everything else about breaking your leg sucks and I wouldn't recommend it! Lol. :) I think I can get it filled up pretty good though. I know a lot of people and there's still weeks to go! I'll find a place to sign it for you if you want? Anything in particular you want me to write?
