Maybe you're right. They have manipulated my leg around for every splint and cast I've been in so far. So that makes sense. Although I really have nothing to compare it to considering this is my first time going through something like this. I've never broken what I'd deem to be "major" bones before. But to me, the pain I get seems to be directly associated with swelling or blood flow, and doesn't feel like the kind of pain that would signify something is wrong. I'm hoping it will be just a matter of time for this to go away. Once that happens, I should be able to get around MUCH better and do a little more. So I will just keep on doing what I'm doing, try not to worry about it too much, and see what the ortho doc says next time. To be honest, it's not like I'm expecting to be "walking " out of my next appointment anyway. Even if they decide I can have a shorter cast next time, I'll probably still be NWB.
5/7/19- suffered fractured ankle, grade 2 high ankle sprain, and fractured tibia. Full leg backslab splint.
5/17/19- 1st ortho appt. No surgery, fiberglass LLC NWB
6/1/19- 2nd LLC NWB
6/29/19- LLWC applied minimal WB
7/20/19- SLC applied
