Sorry to hear about your injury- the beginning can be so difficult.
I fell on my broken leg the first week home from the hospital and it was nerve wracking. I have internal hardware, so it takes a lot more to displace the bones, but I still went to the hospital for an x-ray as I couldn't get it off my mind. I recommend going for another x-ray, especially as you're feeling increased pain. I know it's a chore to haul yourself there and queue, but it's worth the mental relief. And hopefully it will be all for naught and you'll be home quickly.
Feeling like a burden is no fun, but very, verrry normal. It's tough to not be able to care for yourself fully. However, it's all temporary, so sending you healing thoughts!
14 Sept 2018- hit by car, compound open tib/fib fracture, ORIF surgery to insert IM nail + 5 screws
19 Sept 2018- released from hospital, no cast, NWB
22 Oct 2018- 30% PWB, started physio
04 Dec 2018- working towards 100% WB indoors
