I had one pretty bad tumble a week after my initial injury, and like you I remember making the decision as I was falling to sacrifice other parts of my body to protect my injured ankle. I put my back out, but was on good painkillers that I didn’t feel it much. It was a week or two before I saw my chiropractor.
I know hopping around on one foot is tough (I sprained my left and broke my right so I was hopping on a sprained ankle!), but DON’T PUT WEIGHT ON YOUR INJURY UNTIL YOU HAVE THE GO AHEAD! The bone that is reforming is soft and the weight will damage that new tissue. It’s not strong enough yet.
Here is to a smooth road ahead. Happy healing.
