Sorry you got this news. But rest assured, there is absolutely nothing wrong with you. Your reactions and feelings are very normal, and relatable and understandable, under the circumstances. It is fine to feel down at times. Actually, I think being aware of your feelings will be a great step in helping you cope. When you finally get the news that there is measurable bone growth, you might feel ecstatic (that was my reaction). In my case, it was about 2.5 months into my first break before there was x-ray evidence of bone growth. But that didn't mean there was no healing taking place. The same is true in your case...did you have the cast replaced and any soft tissue injuries examined? There could be healing there. And are you, for example, feeling less fatigue? That could be a sign of healing.
