I just saw my doctor on Tuesday, the bone is finally healing after having that screw removal surgery in September so that is good news. But I do have a bone infection, so the pain while walking will continue until I get the rod removed (since that is basically what the infection is feeding off of). At the same time, I canít get the rod removed until my bone heals more, so itís kind of a double edge sword.
So right now I am just waiting till my bone heals enough to go under the knife a sixth time, after that I need a 6 week course of IV antibiotics in order to fully clear out the infection. XP From their recovery from surgery, physical therapy, and hopefully I can get back to some semblance of normal! :)
I guess it could be worse their was a girl in my PT she tore her meniscus and ACL (the ligament in your knee) from just swiveling too fast and falling, and she has been off work on disability for THREE YEARS since the injury occurred! She just needed surgery after surgery, since the ligament wasnít healing. Ay chihuahua, hopefully my injury isnít that bad.
